Another video here that I've cleaned up from 2008.

This is still one of my favourite instrumental videos. This was shot during a trip to Canberra for my wife's birthday back in June 2008. So it's over 4 years old now. The video was shot on my old Canon HV20 with the SG Pro 35mm adapter attached to it.

For the fix up here I did a few things. Firstly I did my best to remove the vignetting that appeared in the original version caused by shooting with my f2.8 28mm Nikon lens. Vignetting from that lens on the SG Pro would always be a problem. I fixed it by adding a white coloured vignette image on top, and using a blend mode in Sony Vegas to cause that image to reduce the darkness of the vignette in the video.

Something else I did was add some noise reduction to the overall video to clean it using the Neat Video plugin. Something I've mentioned before that I never had back in 2008. It worked well enough here.

Of course I also uprezzed the video from the old 1440x1080 HDV size to full 1920x1080 HD. Saved out as a Cineform avi. A clean 1080P wmv version was also added to Vimeo. If you're a member of Vimeo, you can download the original 1080P wmv file there.

Lastly, the music was also tweaked and remastered for the video. Bringing the level up a bit, and generally making it sound a little bit more modern. That's if 4 years has really made that much difference. I think it sounds a lot better myself. I'm planning on creating an extended version of this track for an EP or album that I'll be releasing before the end of the year called 'Beats For Video'. That will basically be a collection of the beats I've recorded for my videos. Remixed and remastered.
