Here is another instrumental track I recorded with a video to go with it. A friend came for a visit when I shot this. The footage was all quite random. Apart from the opening shot/s from near a local mall, pretty much all of the footage was shot around Freshwater Beach where we'd gone for a walk that afternoon.
I thought I had enough footage to fill the length of the track, but obviously not, so I used Twixtor for an extreme timestretch on the last two shots. It actually did quite a good job. A large percentage of the rest of the shots were played back at a 0.5 playback rate for a slight slow motion look.
The music was recorded entirely using Presonus Studio One. For this actual track I used the Impact plugin for the drums. It was one of the preset kits, but sounded quite fat. And if something sounds good like that, I'll use it, regardless of whether or not it's a preset kit. Unless the track I'm recording is something more unique with sounds that I create from scratch.
Enjoy the video!
