Tonight on HC Radio we catch up with Perth’s own Smiley and we’ll spin some tracks from his album ‘Suspended Sentence‘, released early June 11, he’s currently doin the rounds in W.A with Optamus (Downsyde) and soon taking it nationally! ‘Smiley‘ and the 32 Krew have been busy on this release and also features artists such as Dazastah, Optamus, Porsha Laine and Pirate Krew. Maggot Mouf makes no concessions about hailing from Australia’s capital (ACT) and it’s public housing estates, in fact, it seems that’s where he draws inspiration from. His second Release  ‘Your All Ears‘ (Obese Records), released 16 July 2010,  is a 16 track odyssey through an often cold world where brief shards of humour only serve to emphasise the bleak-ness of the everyday for the disjointed and out of place.

With production by Broken Tooth Entertainment’s powerhouse (Ceicmate & Sammy Scissors) and also Joey Gargoyle and Bigfoot. Guests Verses from 1/6, Scotty Hands and Dekoda (1/6 is the 2010 Hilltop Hoods Initiative winner), clearly give this release some pedigree. Tune in tonight to hear more of Maggot Mouf!

An angry, hard nosed and self confessed anarchist, MC Requiem has dropped his 2nd release ‘Grassroots Anarchy’. Ripping up those who are pro conformity,  government, and slaves to the corporate giants.

Grassroots Anarchy sends a definite message with a stiff middle finger and pleads to those who are sick of taking shit from the system. Production on the album is performed by Doc Felix, Defiant, Checkmate, Abstract and Wizard (UK). Requiem hails from Melbourne and has been playing the local scene with some local heavyweights – definitely making some noise.

These guys have been super busy doing launches and shows all over Oz, but we’re finally able to get Hunter (WA) and DJ Vame (NSW) on the show for a chat.

A groundbreaking collab produced through long distance correspondence, their album “Monster House” has been well worth the wait, and is recieving great feedback Australia wide.  Both Hunter & Vame are heavyweights of the scene with a lot of history, so tonight’s interview is definitely not to be missed!

This fearless rapper is no stranger to the stage, having performed at countless events throughout Australia, Undertow is celebrating the release of his forthcoming album ‘Minds Believing‘. He has embarked a tour of the East Coast with DJ Mainak and they are rippin it up!
Minds Believing production is mainly catered for by Dazed (Melb), also Rob Hectik and Flawlezz with Undertows varying styles with his lyrical flow, his relentless search to be innovative, this will be sure to cook up a storm!
